Trendmetr – Provides hourly trend reports

There are several Twitter trend tracking apps out there, but a new one is worth mentioning. Trendmetr shows graphs that tell you how many times a particular phrase has been tweeted in the past hour. Good for breaking news events and major trends.

You could imagine it being useful for news rooms, and in fact for marketing agencies…it’s the sort of thing that brings a social media presentation to life and would also catch people’s eye a lot more if you have it at reception instead of the usual cuttings books or the box that’s constantly tuned into CNN or Sky News.
